Description

Found primarily in the eastern U.S., Aedes triseriatus is considered a vector of West Nile virus and the main vector of La Crosse encephalitis virus. Adults fly mostly during the early morning and evening hours, but they can be easily disturbed during daylight hours and are persistent biters.
